The United Nations voiced hope Monday for an easing of tensions after the arch-enemies Iran and the United States swapped prisoners.

“We very much hope that it leads to greater cooperation and a lessening of tensions,” said Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
